Town hall on Avenue P flooding

San Angelo —  The City of San Angelo  is hosting another town hall meeting focused on efforts to relieve flooding issues along Avenue P at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in the City Council chambers at the McNease Convention Center, 501 Rio Concho Drive.

City Councilman Harry Thomas, who represents Single Member District 3 will host the event, to which the public is invited.

The meeting will be a follow-up to a discussion Thomas led in August 2016 to discuss drainage issues along Avenue P. City officials will update the public on plans to keep stormwater from flowing into homes in the Avenue P area. City staff scheduled to attend include City Manager Daniel Valenzuela, City Engineer Russell Pehl and Assistant City Engineer Lance Overstreet.
